Annathai likely to be title of Rajini 168

Superstar Rajinikanth, who is shooting for his 168th film helmed by Siruthai Siva, is currently on a schedule break. On Friday, a fan-made poster did the rounds claiming it to be the official poster of the film and has been titled Mannavan. 

However, a source close to the film unit told DT Next, “Mannavan isn’t the title of the film. The makers have quite a few options on hand and Annathai is one of them. Apart from Rajini sir, only the producers know the title that has been finalised for Thalaivar 168.” Talking about the shooting schedules, the source added, “The next schedule of the shooting will begin in the first week of February. This is a lengthy schedule and will go on till mid-March.”

Touted to be a rural entertainer, Thalaivar 168 is produced by Sun Pictures, who had previously bankrolled Rajini’s Petta. Composer D Imman has been roped in to score the tunes for this film.
