Saudi flight makes U-turn to pick up infant forgotten by mother

In a bizarre turn of events, a Saudi Arabian mother forgot to board her baby onto the plane and realised only after it took off. Luckily, as she soon realised it, the flight crew returned back to Jeddah’s King Abdulaziz International Airport.

A video circulated on social media features the pilot making a request to the Air Traffic Control (ATC) to return to the airport. In the video, the pilot said, “This flight is requesting to come back…a passenger forgot her baby in the waiting area, the poor thing.”

“Ok, head back to the gate. This is totally a new one for us!” replied an ATC operator.

Social media turns green through #Trashtagchallenge

What else could be a better way to clean the environment other than by setting it up as a social media challenge? After #Kikichallenge and #10year challenge, the newest one is #Trashtag, an eco-friendly one. It consists of taking a ‘before’ photo of an area that is littered and then taking an ‘after’ photo once the area is cleaned up. As usual, the fad was picked up by many with netizens posting pictures of the area before and after they had cleaned it up. Finally, a challenge that brings about change in the environment got trending.

Son turns marketer for father, turns empty new donut shop into a sleeper hit

If you are looking for one bit of news that would make you go aaaw this morning, look no further than here. A mom and pop donut store that recently opened in the US, seemed to be lacking its deserving quota of patrons and customers. But help was on the way, as the store owner’s son enlisted Tweeple to make his dad proud. With one photograph of his papa, that he posted with the caption, ‘My dad’s sad, as no one’s come to his new donut shop so far’, a viral sensation was born. Folks began retweeting the image all around, and in a few hours, the shop was thronging with customers who swore by the lip smacking taste of the donuts on sale. Well, if that’s not a story to pique your sweet tooth, we don’t know what is.
