When the ‘Nagin’ act amounted to nothing
India got the better of Bangladesh and emerged as the top cricketing nation in Asia on Friday. There was a noteworthy incident during the match when Bangladeshi bowler Nazmul Islam celebrated the wicket of Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan with a ‘Nagin’ dance. Dhawan, who was excellent throughout the tournament, fell early in the chase, giving hope to the opponents. However, with India managing to win the closely-fought match in the end, the table was turned on Nazmul Islam. He was trolled on social media by several individuals. The ‘Nagin’ dance may be a trademark celebration of Bangladesh cricketers, but it certainly did not do them any favour on Friday.
Is this the fluffiest pancake ever made?
Pancakes brought together Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping last month, when they were spotted making the dish before devouring it on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum. Now, social media is abuzz with a video of one of the fluffiest pancakes. The ‘shu’ pancakes can be found in Taiwan and are a hybridbetween pancakes and soufflé. The video has left several Twitterati wanting to taste the pancakes.
When red shorts became a fashion trend
If he isn’t involved in politics, it may be said that former J&K chief minister Omar Abdullah devotes his time following the latest fashion trends. He recently shared a picture of a model dressed in a rather ‘startling’ attire walking the ramp at the Paris fashion week. Italian brand Gucci showcased the red vinyl shorts, designed by Alessandro Michele, which seems to have caught Omar Abdullah’s attention. The outfit is a part of the company’s Spring Summer 2019 collection for men. Going by the comments on social media, it is safe to state that the outfit may not be everyone’s delight.
