Moooove over zebras, it’s cow crossings making a mark in Spain

A Spanish town known for its dairy industry is now giving up on zebra crossings on its roads and experimenting with, brace yourselves- cow crossings.

A Coruña, a city in the region of Galicia in north western Spain, unveiled its first paso de vaca, or cow crossing this week. The idea was put into action by local dairy farmers, who wanted to increase awareness about their industry and its famous cows, which produce half of Spain’s milk. Part of the plan is also to connect folks living in cities with their counterparts in the countryside.

MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan ready to battle as Baahubali

As Madhya Pradesh goes to polls later this year, a slew of campaign videos have begun doing the rounds online. However, there is no end to the spoofs as well, for a video inspired by the Baahubali is now turning viral. It features Shivraj Singh Chouhan taking on the role made famous by Prabhas. The video pits Chouhan as MP’s Baahubali by deftly morphing his image over that of Prabhas’. Tongue in cheek jibes are made at Sonia Gandhi, and Kamal Nath, who appear as his arch nemesis, while Chouhan professes his loyalty to the PM. In a scene of Katappa’s killing of Baahubali, viewers are clued in with text markers showing Nath replicating the move with Jyotiraditya Scindia. Well, as long as it’s all in good humour, we are sure netizens are having the last laugh.
