There were no widespread promotions prior to its release. The movie opens in a school in the temple town of Madurai, where Hari (Kalaiyarasan) is seen playing with his classmates. An orphaned Eswar (Prasanna) is brought to school by his grandfather, gets bullied by Hari and his friends. However, when Hari’s mom passes away, Easwar is there for him and the kids grow up to become good friends. The friends fall in love with girls from the same town — Gayathri (Dhansika) has her heart set on Hari and Revathi’s (Srushti) love interest is Eshwar — and support each other during troubled times. After ups and downs between both the couples, the first half ends with an intriguing twist when Hari’s father decides to meet Revathi’s father to speak about their marriage. The second half begins with the same pace and subsequent events lead up to the climax, where the back story unfolds. Even though it’s quite a wait, we would suggest audiences hold on, at least there isn’t a lack of entertainment until then.
