Ekta Kapoor’s serial gets a Swedish fan,Twitterati confused
Ekta Kapoor seems to have found herself a diehard fan. But here’s the catch. The person is Swedish! And this has got Twitterati into a fix as to whether they should be proud or embarrassed. None can doubt the popularity of her serials at one point in time, but with time, many might have also realised the futility of it all. Cut to 2018, a popular Swedish YouTuber ‘PewDiePie’ has expressed his fondness for Ekta’s daily soap Kasam Se — which starred Prachi Desai, Ram Kapoor and others. In a tweet, the YouTuber posted a screengrab while he was watching the serial with a message (good quality). He might have meant it sarcastically, but Twitterati seems to be in shock.

Twitter’s history lesson to Modi: Nehru met Bhagat Singh and Batukeshwar Dutt in prison
With the Karnataka polls set to be held on May 12, the political campaigns were nothing short of great rhetoric, to say the least. In his latest jibe at the Congress’ Nehru-Gandhi family, Prime Minister Narendra Modi claimed that none from the party had bothered to visit freedom fighters Bhagat Singh and Batukeshwar Dutt when they were imprisoned during the struggle for Independence. Here, however, Modi seemed to have missed a valid historical fact, as many historians and journalists pointed out on Twitter, Congress President Jawaharlal Nehru had in fact visited Singh and Dutt in prison. Moreover, a journalist also shared Nehru’s statement on his meeting with Singh and Dutt and Twitter handle Indian History Pics shared a page claiming it was from Selected Works of Jawaharlal Nehru Volume 4, in which the Congress leader wrote about his prison meeting with the two.
