Padman trailer breaks the internet
The trailer of Akshay Kumar- Radhika Apte starrer, Padman, has received 1,940,455 likes within hours of its release. Social media has gone gaga over it, as it is for the first time in the history of Hindi cinema that women’s menstruation will be discussed in great detail, while Bollywood’s leading hero will be shown wearing a sanitary pad in the movie.

Even the celebrities couldn’t stop talking. Actor Dhanush tweeted, “Here is the trailer of #padman .. kudos my friend Balki :) yet again a very unique and amazing concept. Can’t wait for this one.”
Amitabh Bachchan tweeted, “Presenting the much awaited #PadManTrailer, this one’s for the mad ones, the ones who are crazy enough to change the world.”
The story is inspired by Coimbatore-based Arunachalam Muruganantham, who is popularly known as the menstrual man. He invented the low-cost sanitary pad, to ensure that women all over the country get access to sanitary napkins. When he started, people thought he was crazy and even called him names. Years later, TIME magazine placed him in its list of 100 Most Influential People in the world In 2014 and in 2016, he was awarded the Padma Shri.
