Kangana Ranaut skewers Bollywood in viral AIB song video
In a new collaboration with popular comedy collective All India Bakchod or AIB, Kangana Ranaut puts shade on the inherent sexism in Bollywood. Titled The Bollywood Diva Song, the video that is now going viral, stars Kangana as an actress named Priya, who approaches the director to talk about the irritational lines she has, but is rudely dismissed by him.

She is also required to introduce herself as the “female lead” but he gets her only when she says “love interest” and “jo hero ke saath rehti hai”. Enter the hero, played by comedian Varun Thakur. He arrives and receives the welcome Shah Rukh Khan did in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.
Kangana then goes on to deliver a hilariously customised rendition of Chittiyan Kalaiyan, which goes “Coz I have a vagina re.” The lines in the song point out several of Bollywood’s most glaring idiosyncrasies, including taking close-ups of actresses’ waists, and the massive age and pay gaps between male and female leads in popular movies. It also refers to nepotism in Bollywood, an issue about which Kangana has been especially vocal.
The video also take a dig at yet another controversy around Kangana. “I didn’t write the lyrics of this song,” she declares at the end, hinting at the row over the writing credits of Simran.
