Vijay 61 titled Mersal, first look poster out
Ending speculation over whether that the title of Vijay 61 will either have a Rajinikanth’s film title from the 80s or MGR’s movie title, the makers revealed the first look on the eve of the actor’s birthday. The film which is helmed by Atlee has been titled Mersal.

For the first time in his career, Vijay has been called Thalapathy instead of Ilayathalapathy. Mersal which will have its music composed by AR Rahman has SJ Suryah, Vadivelu, Samantha, Kajal Aggarwal and Nitya Menen in its supporting cast.
The poster has Vijay in a rustic look with bulls in the background, and the title designed like a bull’s tail. Earlier sources close to the movie unit said that there were two other titles apart from Mersal before makers decided to settle with this. Mersal marks the second union of Atlee with Vijay after Theri.
Sri Thenandal Films is bankrolling the film while GK Vishnu is wielding the camera and Ruben is the editor.
