Kalki beams about her house in Pondy
Not many are aware that Bollywood actress Kalki Koechlin is a Tamil girl born to a French mother and brought up in Puducherry, though she mentions it very often. However, a new video of her introducing her house in Puducherry will definitely strike a chord with viewers from south.

In the video, the National Award winning actress introduces the audience not just to her vintage-style house, but the coconut grove surrounding it, her cat called Dosa, her mom, her Royal Enfield bike, her favourite bathtub and so on.Â
The house is full of classic stuff, be it the pillars, or sofa or window, which, Kalki says, were hand-picked and recycled by her mom from different parts of the state and some of them across the country.Â
Interestingly, Kalki also utters a word or two in Tamil, saying that she knows Tamil well. She remembers the village she was born in, Periyamudaliarsavadi, and goes on to add that she is very with the territory.Â
Kalki says she visits Pondy whenever she feels down and recollects how she practised for her monologues and other performances including for the much-acclaimed film Margarita with a Straw in the house. Within three days, the video has garnered over 5.5 lakh views and counting.
