Amping up the ramp

Women came from different walks of life and were visibly excited at the prospect of being a part of a beauty pageant. Each of them showcased immense confidence and charm on stage. Among them, seven contestants were shortlisted to be part of the final round that will take place in Kochi. 

We spotted the pretty and petite Dr Priya Selvaraj, grand-daughter of matinee idol Gemini Ganesan and one of the prominent faces from the city’s social circuit walking the ramp. Apart from Priya, Vini Sangeetha, Sashi, Preethi, Sishira, Kiara and Varsha will be competing in the finals. The jury for the auditions included Uma Riaz, Sandya and Bharat Kalyan, CK Kumaravel, Ajit Ravi and Vikram Cotah.
