Kangana Ranaut roasts Karan Johar on Koffee couch

While host Karan Johar heaped praises on Kangana, the episode began with him asking her to bear with the “unapologetic frivolities” of the show’s format. Kangana, who has three National Awards under her belt, credited her success to KJo’s rejection and derision. 

The filmmaker constantly tried to make it up to her by saying he underestimated her ability as an actor. “I’m so happy to hear this from you as well because you’ve been the driving force in my life. If it wasn’t for your rejections and mocking and all those... of course you made fun of my English on this and you made fun of everything. I’m not complaining about it. I’m just saying. Somewhere these things do drive you,” said an uninhibited Kangana. When Karan brought up reports of Kangana having creative conflicts with her directors, she shot back saying, “If a set does not have creative conflict then something is not going right,” said Kangana.
