Chronicle of divine offerings
Celebrity chef Ramaa Shanker launched her book, Festive Offerings to the Gods, that looks at the history, tradition and culture of divine food offered to the Gods in temples amid guests from literary circle, celebrities from television and film industry and high profile invitees.

The book is a result of four years of research, where the author has travelled to various places, temples, sampled the prasadam, how it came into being and what influenced it.Â
The evening saw guests enquiring about the recipes, history and tradition of certain offerings to the divinity. Many were also spotted discussing the contents of the book. The guests were also served some of the dishes featured in the book which Ramaa helped prepare.Â
