Game is on for generations
The idea of gaming is no more associated with board games as youngsters spend hours on their computers, play stations and smartphones trying to ace the virtual games.

But Vinita Siddhartha, founder of Kreeda has been working hard for more than a decade to break this norm by reintroducing old games in a snazzy avatar. “My children and I have played these amazing traditional board games with our respective grandparents and I was keen that they should not die-out. I decided to present them to the current generation in a fun avatar. It is not just about fun and games, but also the importance of family relationships that can be built by playing together,” she says.
Games like aadu puli aatam, pallanguzhi, gilli danda, pambaram, kattam vilayattu, chaupad, dahdi, kalanay belaney and many others have been taken up by Kreeda. “Traditional games are a part of happy childhood memories for most. I just intend to keep this happiness alive,” she says.
