The Indian Luxury Expo comes to Chennai
Vishal Reddy, co-founder of The Indian Luxury Expo, gives details about the second edition of the event that intends to bring in 70 luxury brands under one roof. The event to be held on October 8 and 9 will bring together high-end brands in cars and bikes, jewellery, clothing, travel and more.

The first edition of the expo was a huge hit. What can we expect in the second edition?Â
We were new to the city and it was an amazing challenge to understand and cater to the Chennai clientele in the first edition. This year we have a fair idea about the market. We are bringing luxury car brands like Ferrari, Lamborghini and Aston Martin DB11 for enthusiasts in the city. In addition, there will be bigger fashion, interior décor and other lifestyle brands.Â
How did the whole idea of luxury expo come up?Â
Karan Bhangay, co-founder of the expo and I started the expo three years ago in Hyderabad and followed it up in Mumbai, Chandigarh and New Delhi. We ran a lifestyle magazine in Hyderabad, but the digital industry took over print and we weren’t getting a good response. That was when we had the idea of bringing brands together, so that people could know about them. We got around 70 brands in Hyderabad and the same concept was applied across other big cities.Â
Tell us about the expectation from ChennaiitesÂ
Chennai is growing when it comes to the luxury market. And I think jewellery tops the list, with real estate following a close second. Also, I believe that people here make smart investments, they chose products that appreciate in terms of value over time.
