The Board led by José Luis Lázaro Martínez from Spain elected Dr Vijay Viswanathan from India as President-elect. Dr Vijay Viswanathan, who is the First Asian President-Elect, has worked for 29 years in his mission to prevent amputation. Dr Vijay Viswanathan expressed his gratitude towards the membership for their vote of confidence and their unanimous support. “I am honoured and delighted to take on this crucial governance position. I thank the membership for their vote of confidence and their unanimous support. I look forward to help leading D-Foot alongside the President and the other members of the Board, focusing on our mission statement and what we want to achieve as an organisation,” he said.
