CHENNAI: A video demonstrating the functioning of a hotel that never lands has left netizens baffled. Sky Cruise has been designed by Hashem Al-Ghaili. It's an AI-piloted aircraft with a capacity of 5,000 guests. The jumbo aircraft, which boasts 20 nuclear-powered engines, will always be airborne throughout the planned travel. According to Hashem Al-Ghaili, even repairs would be carried out in-flight.

The plane will have a vault that will offer the guests a 360 degree view of the sky, an entertainment deck, a shopping mall, sports centres, restaurants, bars, playgrounds, cinemas and swimming pools, wedding halls, and meeting halls.

The launch date of the flying hotel is yet to be announced. Needless to say, netizens are already baffled by the concept. Though, this technological marvel took everyone by awe, and this seem like all the marvel and starwars comic airships coming to reality, there are few people who criticised this airship to be a rich people’s hideout during any apocalypse and there is another remark that the ticket to the lowest deck with no leg space and no access to lounge will at least be affordable.

Al-Ghaili is a Yemeni science communicator and a video producer, who is best known for his infographics and videos about scientific breakthroughs. His work in science communication gained the attention of science news sources and social media users even in the past few years.
