Actress Sai Pallavi to play Sasikala in Jaya’s biopic

We hear from reliable sources that the actress has been roped in to play a pivotal role in Jayalalithaa biopic, which will be helmed by Vijay.

A source in the know of things says, “Sai Pallavi will reprise the role of Jayalalithaa’s friend Sasikala in the biopic and she has already signed on the dotted lines. Since, she had earlier worked with Vijay in Karu, he felt that Sai Pallavi would be the right choice for the role. The film will go on floors early next year, and the entire story will be based on her political journey.” The makers of the film, Vibri Media, has initiated talks with Vidya Balan and are on the verge of finalising her as the lead. Another biopic on Jayalalithaa, directed by Priyadarshini, will go on floors on February 24, next year.
