No smoke and mirrors here, Nithya goes viral with cheap CGI now

The attention seeking gimmicks of Nithyananda, who claims to be an avatar of reincarnated deity, Mahasadashiva are going viral. Despite the sexual assault accusations levelled against the self-styled godman, he seems to have bounced back with one video after the other. The latest one features him exhibiting his supernatural powers. With help from some tacky amateurish CGI, the godman is seen emitting smoke from his palms just by twirling his fingers. Nithyananda then goes on to spout some mumbo jumbo regarding the nature of the cosmos and how he can open the third eye of his followers without even travelling. Maybe the Censor board needs to step in and put an end to such videos.

Pith helmet worn by Melania Trump sparks controversy for portraying colonial hangover
Melania Trump has yet again sent social media into a tizzy with her choice of her attire during her maiden solo trip to Africa. During a recent safari, she coupled a white shirt with khaki pants and chose a white pith helmet for headgear. The helmet is seen as a symbol of colonial repression and was worn by imperialist generals who invaded Africa in the past. Richard Bevan, writer and actor for film tweeted “Is there no one in the White House to advise these *****? Trump was seen with toilet paper stuck to his shoe, staff too scared or purposely keeping their mouths shut?” The fashion choices of the First Lady has clearly not gone well with the people.

Safety goes to the dogs as monkey takes over state bus’ steering wheel
For those of you wondering, why India’s public transport systems might be in the doldrums, a new video seems to have damning evidence. The driver of a KSRTC bus was recently seen driving a passenger vehicle with a langur seated on his lap, holding on to the steering of the bus. The video of the driver, which has now gone viral, seems to show him ignoring the steering wheel, while he shifts gear. Even during this time, the langur is seen holding on to the steering. Going by plain logic, it would be virtually impossible for a langur to control the steering wheel of a heavy vehicle such as a bus, considering the sheer brute force it takes to do so. We believe its time the transport body steps in and takes stringent action against such irresponsible behaviour that endangers passengers’ lives.
