Superstar Rajini surprises fans, signs a film

Produced by Sun Pictures, Thalaivar’s next film will be directed by none other than young filmmaker, Karthik Subbaraj. We hear that the director had narrated his script to Rajini even before the shoot of Pa Ranjith’s Kaala. 

An excited Karthik Subbaraj wrote on social media, “Really can’t express my happiness in words. My most treasured dream-come-true moment. Thanks a lot Thalaivaaaaa (sic).” We also hear that the film will be made on a mammoth budget, and the team is looking forward to release it by the end of this year. 

It is also worth noting that Rajini’s Kaala will be hitting the screens on April 27, while Shankar’s 2.0, that also stars Akshay Kumar in a negative role, will have its release later this year. Amy Jackson plays the female lead in this much-awaited film.
