Be it in IT or media or any other industry, if you’re not at your desk when the super big boss drops by, chances are you might make it to the top of the red list.

While some of us may cancel our plans to stay back, a few others would go ahead with the schedule, albeit with a sense of apprehension. However, if you’re an employee at LinkedIn, it could be a different picture. An employee there seems to have cracked the code on how to make her presence felt at the office even as she continued to be away on her vacation. Mariah Walton “accidentally” scheduled her vacation on the same day the company’s CEO Jeff Weiner was to meet her team. So, she decided to put a picture of her at the desk with a message for the CEO.

A part of her message read, “Hi Jeff!, I wanted to meet you but had to go to Venice instead (so sad emoji). She also gave him a suggestion regarding what type of food should be avoided (you can find that in her full post).” A picture of Weiner posing at Walton’s desk for a selfie with her photo and the note for him has gone viral after she shared it. “When you accidentally schedule your vacation for the day your CEO is specifically dropping by to meet your team, it doesn’t hurt to ‘subtly’ remind them what you do and how it helps the big picture. Thanks for stopping by Jeff Weiner! Proud of the team I work with and my new favourite selfie ;),” she captioned the post.
