‘Queen of dark’ goes viral
International model Nyakim Gatwech’s charcoal black skin is all the rage on social media. The South Sudanese born model has been dubbed ‘The Queen of Dark’ for her dark, glowing complexion.

While Nyakim is proud to be sporting her rare dark complexion, not everybody is a fan of it. “You won’t believe the kind of questions I get and the kind of looks I get for having this skin,” posted the model on her Instagram after an Uber driver offered her 10,000 dollars to bleach herself.
After the incident, she posted one of her flawless photographs with the caption, “Some people keep snapping me and ask me why I am so dark? How on earth do they expect me to answer that question, besides that I’m bless with melanin and I love all this darkness! MELANIN MONDAY!”
