CHENNAI: Chennai City traffic police have announced traffic diversions near Thillaiganga Nagar subway in view of Velachery- St Thomas mount elevated corridor project work by Southern railway. The traffic diversions will be in place for four months, starting from Saturday.

Accordingly, outgoing vehicles- MTC buses and Heavy vehicles towards Velachery from Thillaiganga Nagar Subway will take right at Thillaiganganagar 36th street X MRTS road junction and after crossing 90 meters will take left at pillar No.156 and ply in usual outgoing direction route.

All out going Light Vehicles including Two Wheeler in peak hours will take left to 36th street – Jeevan Nagar 3rd street – 23rd street extension and reach MRTS road outgoing direction.

All incoming MTC buses and heavy vehicles will ply on regular route in left side of MRTS road in which the road in bifurcated for 90 meters.

All Incoming light vehicles including two wheeler in peak hours will be diverted to take Left turn to Thillaiganganagar 23rdstreet – right 3rd main road – right – 32nd street and reach MRTS road near Thilai Ganga Subway mouth in regular route.
