CHENNAI: Chennai Division of Southern Railway has decided to double platform ticket fare for the upcoming festival season with effect from 1st October 2022 to 31st January 2023 in the following eight major railway stations of Chennai Division to ensure the comfort of bona fide passengers and to avoid overcrowding.

Platform ticket fare for Dr. MGR Chennai Central, Chennai Egmore, Tambaram, Katpadi, Chengalpattu, Arakkonam,

Tiruvallur and Avadi would be Rs 20 from October 1 to January 31, 2023, a statement issued by SR said.

Train diversion:

West Central Railway has notified for the diversion of Train No 20481 /20842 Bhagat ki Kothi – Tiruchchirappalli Junction - Bhagat ki Kothi Humsafar Weekly Superfast Express via Gurla - Sogaria Chord line skipping Kota.

Train no 20481 Bhagat ki Kothi – Tiruchchirappalli Junction Humsafar Weekly Superfast Express leaving Bhagat ki Kothi at 16.10 hrs with effect from 05th October will be diverted to run via Gurla and Sogaia duly skipping stoppage at Kota.

An additional stoppage will be provided at Sogaia for the convenience of passengers. Arrive/Depart; Sogaia at 01.20 hrs (Arrival) / 01.30 hrs (Departure)

Train no 20482 Tiruchchirappalli Junction - Bhagat ki Kothi Humsafar Weekly Superfast Express leaving Tiruchchirappalli Junction at 08.10 hrs with effect from 01st October will be diverted to run via Sogaia and Gurla duly skipping stoppage at Kota.

An additional stoppage will be provided at Sogaia for the convenience of passengers. Arrive/Depart; Sogaia at 21.20 hrs (Arrival) / 21.30 hrs (Departure), a statement issued by SR said.
