Stormwater drain works: Traffic changes near Arcot Road for 3 months

CHENNAI: Chennai city traffic police have announced traffic diversions in Valasaravakkam police limits to facilitate the highways department’s stormwater drain works from Thiruvalluvar Salai to Amma Unavagam to Suresh nagar junction (Outgoing direction).

Police said that the traffic diversion will be implemented with effect from Monday (September 26) to January 15, 2023.

There will be no diversion for the vehicles which are coming from Arcot Road Megamart junction to Arasamaram junction.

Traffic in Thiruvalluvar Salai from Megamart junction to Suresh Nagar junction will be made one way.

Vehicles which are coming from Ramapuram Arasamaram junction intended to go to Arcot Road should take compulsory left at Suresh Nagar junction and reach their destination via Chowdry Nagar - Arcot Road then go to Porur or Vadapalani.
