Ganja sold near schools: Five arrested by Aminjikarai Police
In one incident, police arrested three youths based on a tip off about ganja being sold near a school in Shenoy Nagar.
CHENNAI: Aminjikarai Police on Thursday arrested five persons for selling ganja near schools and seized 3.5 kg of ganja from them in two separate incidents in their jurisdiction.
In one incident, police arrested three youths based on a tip off about ganja being sold near a school in Shenoy Nagar.
A special team rounded up the trio and seized 2 kg ganja from them. The arrested persons were identified as Mohan (22), Surya (24) and Ruban (20).
In another arrest made near another school, a police team arrested two persons- John (22) and Satish Kumar (24) based on a tip off. Police seized 1.5 kg ganja from them. All the arrested persons were produced before a magistrate and remanded to judicial custody.
