TIRUVALLUR: In a tragic road accident, an elderly man was killed when a motorbike collided with his two-wheeler in Tiruvallur on Thursday. The victim was identified as Govindarajan (70), a resident of Bagyam New Town in Kaakalur.
On Wednesday morning, Govindarajan went to buy vegetables at a nearby market in his two-wheeler. While he was returning home, a motorbike coming from the opposite direction knocked him over. Govindarajan sustained grievous injuries on his head. “Though passersby immediately rushed him to the Tiruvallur Government Hospital he passed away without responding to treatment,” police said. The Tiruvallur police has registered a case and are investigating.
