CHENNAI: The anti-vice squad of Chennai police on Thursday arrested two men for allegedly forcing gullible young women into prostitution.

Four women were rescued from an apartment complex in Madipakkam, police said.

The arrested persons were identified as K Mahendran (34) of Kodaikanal and K Manimaran (24) of Pammal.

Police received a tip off about prostitution in an apartment in Ram Nagar in Madipakkam, after which the apartment was raided.

Police said that the duo lured young women, who come to the city with aspirations to break into film industry, and forced them into prostitution.

They were produced before a magistrate and remanded in judicial custody. Hunt is on for one more person.
