CHENNAI: Chepauk-Triplicane MLA Udhayanidhi Stalin did not wait for the chief minister’s office to act on his wish list of ten long-pending requests of his constituency.

While the rest of the MLAs are busy preparing the list and popularizing them through the media, Stalin junior has started making field visits to fulfil his voters’ demands.

On Sunday, the Chepauk - Triplicane MLA, accompanied by civic officials and local party functionaries, visited several areas crying for attention in his constituency.

Referring to Chief Minister M K Stalin’s letter to all 234 MLAs, Udhayanidhi tweeted, “While the CM has written a letter asking for the list of 10 long-pending requests of the constituency, we reviewed the land availability for constructing a new auditorium for Presidency College, a prestigious identity of the state.”

The influential DMK MLA did not stop there. He also took the officials of Chennai Corporation to a land owned by Chennai Corporation in Chintadaripet to relocate a private fishing market to resolve traffic bottlenecks there.

Udhayanidhi also visited and instructed officials to expedite the renovation of a relief centre on Ayya Street in Chintadaripet.

The MLA and team also visited the existing community hall in Singanna Street in Chintadaripet where people have been demanding a new community hall with better facilities, and identified the potential location to develop a facility to overcome stray cattle menace in Triplicane.

Renovation of the pumping station in Besant Street and community at Rajaji Nagar in Triplicane were among the spots where Stalin junior made stops.
