Woman held 12 months after murdering mentally-ill child

While police had registered a case of suspicious death about the child’s death on December 28 in 2019, the postmortem report was corroborated with the latest report from the Forensic Department which confirmed that the child death was not accidental.

Korukkupet police picked up the child’s mother S Nadiya and she admitted during interrogation that she smashed the child’s head against the wall out of frustration that she could not take care of him after which the child died. Nadiya was remanded in judicial custody on Thursday.
