Woman stabbed during robbery bid in KK Nagar, suspect nabbed
A 28-year-old was arrested after he entered a house in KK Nagar on the pretext of inquiring about a house to be let out on rent and stabbed a woman when she refused let go of her gold chain.

The incident happened around 12.30 pm on Monday when the victim, M Preethi (32) of Ponnambalam Salai, was alone at home.Â
The accused, who entered her house and inquired about the house for rent, tried to snatch her chain. When she raised an alarm, the man stabbed Preethi in her stomach with a pen knife and fled the spot. Preethi was rushed to a private hospital.Â
On information, KK Nagar police launched a hunt for the suspect and secured one C Parthiban (28). The pen knife was seized from him before he was remanded in judicial custody.
