Counselling for MBBS, BDS mgmt seats begins
The Directorate of Medical Education conducted MBBS/BDS counselling for management quota seats on Saturday. Of 2,007 students called on day one, 198 attended.

As many as 96 candidates were allotted MBBS seats at the counselling session held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. A total of 819 management quota seats are available in the State, of which 723 are vacant after the seat allocation on Saturday.
As many as 1,809 candidates did not attend the counselling session on day one. At least 692 seats are available for BDS course under the management quota and so far all the seats are vacant.
Rank holders from 1 to rank 2,007 were called for counselling on the first day. The students between 2,008 and 3,018 ranks will be called for counselling on Monday for admission to MBBS/BDS courses under the management quota. The management quota counselling for the new academic year will continue till Wednesday.
The admissions to MBBS/BDS courses under the government quota were completed last week and the admission procedure for the medical and dental courses will be completed by December 31.
