However, police suspect that the people who rammed his two-wheeler themselves might have admitted him at Sri Ramachandra Medical College in Porur, where he died without responding to treatment.

The accident happened when the deceased Thulasiraman (49) of Kodambakkam, who was into plywood business and husband of Ku Ka Selvam’s elder daughter, was returning home after meeting his daughter Sai Sandhya, who is pursuing final-year BDS in a private college.

Though his two-wheeler was found abandoned near the college itself, Poonamallee traffic investigation police, who are investigating the incident, said it is not clear where the accident took place between the college and the Ramachandra Hospital. “We have been combing the CCTV footage,” said police. Also, those who admitted Thulasiraman at the hospital reportedly did not furnish the personal details.

Since the police received information around 6.30 pm, the accident must have happened in broad daylight. However, no trace of the accident has raised suspicion about the Thulasiraman’s death. But

 his two-wheeler has been damaged and Thulasiraman too has died of head injuries.

A case has been registered based on a complaint from Thulasiraman’s father Ramamoorthy and a hunt has been launched for the suspects.
