Rs 3.8L seized from Sriperumbudur RTO
The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) sleuths seized over Rs 3.84 lakh of unaccounted money from the Sriperumbudur Regional Transport Office on Friday.

On information that officials are taking bribe from the people, Kancheepuram DVAC police carried out a surprise raid at the RTO office around 6.30 pm after locking the staff and brokers waiting there.Â
They found Rs 2.34 lakh hidden inside a water tank in the toilet and Rs 39,000 inside the generator room.Â
Another Rs 29,000 was recovered from the cars parked on the premises. The police found that all of them are unaccounted money and seized it.Â
