Many of the passengers used to get it from the counter at the airport. But now on, they will have to book the passes only through the online mode, officials informed them. In the absence of prior information, the closure of the counter caused confusion. A few passengers thought it was shut because e-pass system has been withdrawn and tried to go out through the exit gate. However, they were stopped by security personnel, who asked them to avail the pass online. Airport officials said passengers should apply for e-pass before they boarded the flight and added that airlines should make sure all passengers were travelling with the e-pass.
