Sellers inform that more eco-friendly kinds of Vinayakar idols are on demand.

Nungambakkam, Aminjikarai, Teynampet, Kosapettai, Saligramam, T Nagar and Sengundram were the areas that has a lot of shops on the pedestrian platforms.

After Murugan, the saffron party BJP seeks the help of Vinayakar to shore up its fortune in the state as they lobby for public celebrations which the state government didn't approve of.
