Help centres set up at 4 government hospitals for patients’ kin to call

The Greater Chennai Corporation has set up help centres at the four major city government hospitals for relatives of COVID-19 patients to call the help centres to enquire the health conditions of the patients.

According to a Chennai Corporation press release, help centres are functioning in Omandurar Medical College Hospital, Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital, Kilpauk Medical College Hospital and Government Stanley Hospital.

"Citizens can contact the help centres at the hospitals to know about the health status and other details of the patients admitted at the respective hospitals. The public can utilise the facilities," G Prakash, Chennai Corporation Commissioner, said in the release.

It may be noted that the relatives of COVID-19 patients are not allowed inside the COVID wards in the hospitals and meet their relatives.

The numbers are 9499966103 (Omandurar Medical College Hospital), 7825884974 (Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital), 044 28364964 and 044 28364965 (Kilpauk Medical College Hospital) and 044 25281350 (Stanley Government Hospital).
