196 Covid containment zones, 15,042 active cases in Chennai
Kodambakkam (Zone 10) has 124 containment zones. Anna Nagar (Zone 8) is the second highest with 35 containment zones. Tondiarpet (Zone 4) has the least, with just one containment zone.

According to the Chennai Corporation data, the recovery rate has been increasing for the past month.
The city reported a total of 85,859 positive cases, of which 69,382 patients have recovered and were sent home. As many as 15,042 cases are under treatment.
According to data released by the Greater Chennai Corporation, Kodambakkam zone has the most number of corona positive patients seeking treatment and Royapuram zone, which is worst-hit among the 15 zones, has a higher number of recovered persons than other zones.
In Royapuram, as many as 9,031 persons have recovered, which is an 88 per cent recovery rate.
