Plated Stories, a boutique catering brand started by Aditi Suresh and Pooja Reddy Nath, has been offering curated lunch and dinner boxes that have a variety of Indian and global dishes. Now, they have started a new segment called Home Chef Edition where they collaborate with home chefs in the city.

“After the lockdown, many started rediscovering the joy of cooking — some started baking and others were trying new recipes.

Also, they were sending out meal boxes to the loved ones living in the city. Seeing the pictures on social media, we understood that there are a lot of talented home chefs out there.

“We decided to collaborate with a few of them and do something interesting. That’s how we launched the Home Chef Edition.

It is not only a business opportunity for them but also helps them showcase their culinary skills,” says Aditi.

The team has done two editions so far — for the first one, Go Madras Festival founder Shiv Gupta made South East Asian food and for the second edition on July 11, entrepreneur Lakshmi Krishnaswamy showcased her signature mud crab curry ( peethalu iguru).

“These home chefs are people whom we know personally and we have tried their food. So, we can vouch for the taste of the food.

The collaboration is done on a sharing basis. We take care of the logistics, purchase, etc, and give the home chefs our kitchen. We let them decide on the menu as well.

Since we are a catering company, we provide end-to-end service. All our lunch and dinner boxes will be having starters, main course and dessert.

“The response to the two editions was amazing. We have send out 60-70 meal boxes. Also, we deliver through our drivers. Moving forward, we will be collaborating with only one home chef a week,” she adds.
