HC seeks Corpn’s response on curtailing dengue

A public interest litigation has sought the intervention of the Madras High Court in providing uninterrupted treatment for patients affected by lysomal storage disorders at the Institute of Child Health, Chennai, or any other institute that have requisite medical facilities. The plea moved by Lysosomal Storage Disorders Support Society of India submitted that in view of the pandemic, treatment may be required to some of the patients that can be administered in hospitals that do not treat COVID-19 patients. The first bench comprising Chief Justice AP Sahi and Justice Senthilkumar Ramamoorthy directed the counsel appearing for the society to move an appropriate application after serving copy of the same on the government counsel who sought time on behalf of Advocate General to assist the court. “In the event such an application is filed, the same shall be listed after two weeks. List the matter on July 28,” the bench held.
