20 counters for refund of train tickets
Southern Railway (SR) has opened nearly 20 counters at Dr MGR Chennai Central, Chennai Egmore, Chennai Beach, Thirumailai, Mambalam, St Thomas Mount, Tambaram, Chengalpattu, Tindivanam, Perambur, Avadi, Tiruvallur, Arakkonam, Katpadi, Wallajah Road, Ambur, Gudiyattam, Vaniyambadi and Jolarpettai stations to fully refund of ticket (counter) fares of trains cancelled from March 22 to June 30.

The counters would function from 10 am to 5 pm. Refund for journeys up to March 31 would be done from June 5; refunds for journeys from April 1 to 14 and April 15 to 30 would be processed from June 12 and 19 respectively; May 1 – May 15 and May 16 – May 31 would be from June 26 and July 7 respectively; trains cancelled from June 1 would be from July 10.
No person will be allowed at the PRS counters without mask. Refunds can be collected up to six months from the date of travel.
