Getting back to the ‘normal’ routine, the actor-sculptor is thrilled about the outcome of her oceanscape installation.
“Many of my design projects including a couple of international installations have been put on hold. Lockdown has helped me work on myself — to see my patterns and explore myself. To get away from all the madness, I started writing poetry again. Though I have started penning poems since I was 11, this is the first time, I am sharing them on social media. It was a creative exercise where I could connect to myself,” says Lekha.
Known for her whimsical installations, Lekha has been working on her oceanscape project. “Most of the installations I have been working on are tech-heavy. Since it was tough to procure certain materials during the lockdown, I decided to sculpt them. And it was a lovely experience. This project oceanscape will be set in resin and cast in the glass once it is finished. Lights will be placed accordingly to create an illusion of movement. So, it will look like an ocean,” adds the sculptor.
