HITS holds 2-day national conference on AI

Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science (HITS) conducted a two-day National Conference on Artificial Intelligence (NCAI-2020) that concluded recently.

The conference was conducted by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering in association with IET (Institute of Engineering and Technology) and MIDARC (Machine Intelligence and Data Analytics Research Centre).


The conference aimed to provide a platform to discuss the recent trends and technologies in artificial intelligence and promote the research interests of students, scholars and academicians in the field of intelligent information systems.


MIDARC, a research centre at Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science, promotes and incubates research articulates in machine learning and data analytics. It caters to the need of the researchers, faculty and students related to the field.


Department of Applied Mathematics and Informatics, Technical University in Košice guest professor Andrea was the chief guest for the event.


Prof Andrea delivered a talk on the importance of mathematics in the field of data science and artificial intelligence. The guest of honour for the inauguration was Senior VP Vaidyanathan JR, who is also the Global Head, Business Intelligence and Analytics, HexawareTechnologies.


Vaidyanathan delivered the keynote address on artificial intelligence tools and its applications. He highlighted the facts of the applications at various sectors in healthcare, autonomous vehicles, imagereconstruction etc.
