Donate old clothes and shop sustainably at zero-waste fest
Kuppai Matters, an eco-conscious platform of residents, workers’ organisations, educational institutions and environmental groups, is set to host its Kuppai Thiruvizha, a zero-waste festival. The event will see stalls, games, talks, donation drives and workshops that can help a person lead a zero-waste lifestyle.
Chennai
Visitors can donate their used electronics and well-maintained old clothes at the kiosks set up. Besides workshops on plastic-free personal hygiene products and packaging-free grocery items, one can also shop for sustainable items like cloth bags, bamboo alternatives to household items, home décor and stationery. One can also hear a line of speakers share their zero-waste journeys, fashion upcyling and community waste management. The event is free and open for all.
Kuppai Thiruvizha will be held at the Anna Nagar Tower Park on February 22 from 8 am to 8 pm.
