    Corpn seeks residents’ support to improve rank

    In a move to get higher rank in the ‘Ease of Living Index’ survey being conducted by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, the Greater Chennai Corporation has urged the residents to take part in the survey.

    A Chennai Corporation press statement said that the survey is conducted to rank the smart cities across the country based on standards that combines various facets of urban living. The survey, which started on February 1, ends by February 29. “The index aims to assess the ease of living of people in the cities across three pillars such as quality of life, economic ability and sustainability. The index also covers education, health, housing and shelter, solid waste management, mobility, safety and security, recreation, economic development, economic opportunities, environment, green spaces, energy consumption and city resilience) and other 50 indicators,”the release added.


    The civic body has requested residents to take part in the survey and share their views about Chennai. Residents can share their feedback using https://eol2019.org/CitizenFeedback, and social media handles like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram using #MyCityMyPride.
