Cops to take custody of jewellery heist accused again
At the end of the two-day interrogation, the Anna Nagar police on Tuesday sent Tiruvarur Murugan, infamous for the Lalitha Jewellery heist in Tiruchy, back to Bengaluru prison.

Police sources said that they have decided to take him into custody again as they could not yield much information about the 17 burglary cases reported in the Anna Nagar police district in 2017 and 2018.
While he had been included as a suspect in all the cases, he was arrested by the Bengaluru police after he looted Lalithaa Jewellery in Tiruchy and went into hiding in Bengaluru.
He was already taken into custody in October for interrogation when he was brought to Chennai on Sunday. He was questioned by the officials for two days and was taken back to Bengaluru on Tuesday.
