Woman injured in chain snatching incident

Gomathi of Pulliline near Red Hills, was walking back to her house from a nearby shop on Friday night, when two men on a bike followed her and tried to snatch her five-sovereign chain. However, since the alert Gomathi held on to the chain and resisted the snatching bid, the duo pushed her and fled the spot. Based on her complaint, Red Hills police have registered a case and further investigation is on.

However, another woman Ramalakshmi of Vinayakapuram near Puzhal, was snatched of her two sovereigns on Friday night, when she has on her way to the nearby shop. Puzhal police have registered a case and further investigation is on whether same men were behind both the incidents.
