Actress-beautician accuses hubby of cheating, sexual assault

The woman also alleged that Saravanan Subramani (42) married her concealing the fact that he was already married and his first wife Aarthi, too, has been threatening her. They have reportedly sent hooligans to attack her two sons.

The victim, a native of Tiruchy and resident of Shenoy Nagar, claimed that she met the accused in 2014 when she was acting in a movie. She has a beauty clinic business in Anna Nagar as well.

She had just divorced her husband and was living with her two sons. After her marriage to Saravanan, he started behaving differently and demanded her to dance in front of his friends in a cottage in Kodaikanal, she complained.

Though Saravanan later apologised to her, claiming that he behaved so under the influence of alcohol, he often locked her up in the house, ruining her business and film career. Saravanan is said to have cheated her of Rs 25 lakh, which she received from her parents, and about 100 sovereigns.

In 2016, she came to know that he was already married and she separated from him. However, he continued to follow her. Since 2017, Saravanan’s wife Aarthi, too, allegedly started harassing her. She alleged that the accused has raped and filmed her, which he later used to threaten her. On January 8, the car in which she and her elder son were travelling was attacked in Mogappair East.

Based on her complaint, an FIR has been registered at the Tirumangalam all-women police station. When contacted, the police said that they have summoned the accused for an inquiry.
