History-sheeter arrested for burglary in Royapettah

The accused, Prakash is from Maduranthakam, and has murder and burglary cases pending against him. He was operating from Marina Beach where he stayed like a pavement dweller behind the Kannagi statue. On November 15, Sridharan, a resident of SMV Koil street in Triplicane had lodged a complaint at Ice Hosue police station that unidentified people stole 18 sovereigns from his house. 

The police registered a case and combed through the CCTV footage to narrow down on the man who entered his house and identified him as Prakash. They then arrested him, seized the gold and  remanded him in judicial custody on Friday.
