Gold worth Rs 1 cr seized at airport
The Customs seized 2.65 kg gold worth Rs 1.10 core at Chennai airport and arrested three passengers. In two of the three incidents, customs intercepted passengers coming from Colombo.

In the third incident, officials intercepted a passenger coming from Sharjah. While five passengers had gold hidden inside their rectum in the form of a rubbery paste, the passenger from Sharjah had two gold cut bits in pant pockets. In addition, he had gold inside his rectum.
